Lifestyle changes are one of the most basic fertility treatment options

There are several lifestyle changes that you can make to optimize your natural fertility, such as:

Trying to reach a normal body mass index (BMI). If you are overweight or underweight, it may affect your fertility.
Getting a moderate amount of exercise at least five days a week.
Don’t smoke, drink alcohol or use recreational drugs.
Asking about your fertility window, the days when you are most likely to conceive.

Medications can help regulate abnormal hormone levels

Medications are also fertility treatment options. If fertility testing indicates that your hormone levels are abnormal, we can prescribe certain medications to regulate them. Medications are also available to help regulate ovulation.

Surgery may solve structural or anatomical problems that cause infertility

If an infertility evaluation and testing indicate that polyps, fibroids, endometriosis, or a uterine septum are causing your infertility, our physicians may recommend surgery to correct the problem.

A hysteroscopy can diagnose and treat uterine problems. During this minimally invasive procedure, one of our ObGyns inserts a hysteroscope into the uterus to get a clear view of the uterine cavity, the openings of the Fallopian tubes and the cervix. During the procedure, if our physicians discover uterine fibroids or polyps, they can attach surgical instruments to the hysteroscope and remove them.
Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgery that allows our ObGyns to view the uterus, Fallopian tubes, and ovaries. Laparoscopy is also a diagnostic and treatment tool. During a laparoscopy, our physicians can treat several possible causes of infertility, including endometriosis, fibroids, and Fallopian tube blockages.
